    The Auction is a key fundraiser for our organization, and will help to fund further education programs and connect the meetings industry. The online auction will be open to the public, in addition to our MPI members.  

    We are soliciting prizes to be awarded through our on-line Auction on  We are seeking gift baskets, restaurant gift certificates, hotel packages, airline tickets, food and wine seminar seats, theatre tickets, concert tickets, sporting event tickets and memorabilia, jewelry, local artisan crafts, and any other exciting offerings from our members and partners!

    MPI PHL serves the tri-state area by providing professional development and education to its members, through discussion of chapter programs as well as relevant issues in the industry as a whole. We do this through live programs and our special publications.

    The Education Institute Booklet will highlight industry research, news and allow us to recognize those who support MPI PHL. This Booklet will be distributed to meeting professionals attending the Education Institute day-long program in February 2018.

    Recording/Documenting CE Credits

    The Philadelphia Area Chapter of Meeting Professionals International is proud to announce that we are a Preferred Provider of Continuing Education (CE) credit by the Convention Industry Council (CIC).

    What does this mean for you as a MPI PHL member?
    Every MPI PHL program will be reviewed for CE credit by the CIC. Each session that qualifies for CE credit will have the designated logo in the program description on the PAMPI website. It is MPI PHL's priority to ensure that all programs offered will be approved by the CIC for CE credit.

    How do you document these CE credits?
    MPI PHL will submit your CE hours to the CIC. Your CE credits will be tracked for you in your CIC account under professional development. You will also receive a certificate detailing your CE credits after each accredited event. MPI PHL members will need to have a CIC account for the CIC to track your credits; if you do not currently have one, you can create one at The email address you use to register for MPI PHL events will need to match the email address associated with your CIC account. If you do not have an account and choose not to create one, you'll need to self-report and track your own CE credits by saving and submitting your certification documenting your CE credits after each event. You do not have to be aCertified Meeting Professional (CMP) to have a CIC account. The CIC encourages all attendees of accredited events to create an account to track CE credits for applying for the CMP program or CMP recertification.

    What is a CE credit vs. a CEU credit?
    CE credit is the correct term for clock hours approved by the CIC. Clock hours have been referred to as CEU credits in the past, but the term CEU is a widely used term. The correct term for the CIC approved clock hours is CE credits.

    What if I attend a session that isn't CE approved?
    If a program that you attend doesn't have the Preferred Provider CE Approved logo, you may still self-submit for clock hours. The programs approved with the logo guarantee that the CE credits members submit will automatically be approved and counted toward your CMP or CMP recertification.

    What about CE credit for past programs?
    If you have attended programs that were CE approved this year, your information will be submitted to the CIC. You should have also received a certificate detailing your CE credits after the program. We are still working to send out certificates for the CE approved sessions at MPI PHL's Education Institute, and you will receive them by July 17th.

    The program(s) identified with the CMP Preferred Provider logo meet the requirements to receive continuing education (CE) credit for the Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) credential. All qualifying activities also indicate how many CE credits attendees will receive for participating.
